Yang Hechao's journey in music began at a young age when he was admitted to the prestigious Primary 4 Music Class at Shenzhen Art School in 2015. Under the tutelage of renowned piano educator Professor Dan Zhaoyi, he has continued to nurture his talent and refine his skills.
In June 2017, he participated in the esteemed “Tchaikovsky Youth Music Competition,” where he stood out as the youngest contestant. His exceptional performance led him to secure the second place in the piano category, along with the distinguished honor of receiving the best Beethoven performance special award.
Continuing to excel, in January 2019, at a remarkably young age, Yang Hechao emerged triumphant at the 20th Asian International Chopin Piano Competition in Japan. Demonstrating his extraordinary talent and maturity, he claimed the first place in Concerto Group C (full movement).
